1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Langou Input Method ("Langou," "the Service," "we," "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
2. Description of Service
Langou Input Method is an AI-powered keyboard and input application available on Android and Windows platforms. The Service provides: (a) AI-powered chat reply suggestions across multiple communication styles, (b) Chinese language input (pinyin, handwriting, voice), (c) cloud synchronization of user preferences and data, (d) prompt optimization for AI tools, and (e) keyboard customization and theming.
3. Accounts & Registration
Some features (cloud sync) require a Langou account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information during registration. Accounts found to be fraudulent or used for illegal purposes may be terminated without refund.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Langou for:
- Any illegal activity or violation of applicable laws
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, or abuse toward others
- Generating misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent content
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract the source code (except as permitted by applicable open-source licenses)
- Automated or programmatic access without explicit API authorization
- Any use that could harm, disable, or impair the Service
6. Intellectual Property
Langou Input Method and its associated software, branding, and trademarks are owned by Langou Technologies and its licensors. The Trime-based Android client is licensed under GPL-3.0. The RIME engine is licensed under BSD-3-Clause. Users retain all rights to their own content and data generated through the Service.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
Langou is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that AI-generated replies will be accurate, appropriate, or error-free. Users are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before sending. The Service may have interruptions, delays, or limitations inherent to internet-based services.
8. Limitation of Liability
Langou Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to the use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed $0 USD.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for violation of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases. You may terminate your account at any time through account settings. Subscription fees are non-refundable after the 14-day refund period.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Singapore.
